About

Madam(e) Lou is a passion project.

Ten years ago, I was introduced to Lou Graham. I thought, “This would make a great show!” But as I began my research, I learned that so much that has been written down about this powerhouse woman is inaccurate, a stretch, or flat out wrong. And what I discovered is that she is so much more important to the Pacific Northwest than anyone has given her credit for.

This show started as a musical, then a “fictionalized one-act based on true events” with a cast of fifteen, then a four-hour verbatim opus, and, finally, I realized I just wanted to tell you what I learned about her.

Madam(e) Lou is 50-minutes of “edu-tainment.” (A 10- and 20-minute version is also available.) It’s educational, but it’s also fun!

If you would like to bring Madam(e) Lou to your space or group, get in touch! Everyone could use a little more Lou Graham in their life!
